Hunger has been on the rise due to the effects of climate change, conflict, global inequality and the COVID-19 pandemic, impacting nearly 828 million people worldwide.
While there’s enough food on the planet, injustice and unfairness have prevented all people from meeting their basic needs. Girls are routinely fed less nutritious food than their brothers, and women are systematically denied access to the resources they need to lead healthy and productive lives.
The Hunger Project is uniquely positioned to amplify the voices of those living in hunger and poverty. Together, we can reimagine systems for the benefit of all people and the planet.
In the spirit of our renewed vision of a world without hunger, we invite you to our Fall Event on Saturday, October 21, 2023 in New York City. It will be an inspiring evening filled with a new understanding, a new opening, and a new recognition of what is now possible: creating a world without hunger.
Make a weekend out of it, as we have added a morning event on Sunday, October 22, “A World Without Hunger: A Closer Look," that will give you an opportunity to dive deeper into our work.
